Application Guidelines
Eligibility
For 2025 we are prioritizing Disaster Relief efforts in Western North Carolina.

Funding is not limited to Child Development or Environmental Education/Preservation.

Short term, immediate emergency funding is not available.

Long term rebuilding, renovation, and supplies are eligible for funding.

Funding will be available during the 2025 calendar year.

Funding is only available for the counties listed below.
The organization must be a charitable non-profit organization that is recognized by the IRS as a 501 ( c ) 3 public charity. A copy of the IRS determination letter is a requirement.

What We Will Fund:

Capital Campaigns/Major Rebuilding (Requests up to $200,000)

Minor Construction and Renovation Material Expenses (Requests up to $100,000)

Program Supplies or Equipment (Requests up to $50,000)

What We Will Not Fund:

loans or loan payoffs
-
general operating expenses including but not limited to:

pay/salaries/stipends/scholarships
-
travel-related expenses
-
food
-
-
renovation to rented/leased spaces
-
individuals
-
labor or administrative costs
-
political lobbying/campaigns
-
deficit financing
-
website, advertising, memberships
-
consumables or one-time-usage items (i.e. clothing, marketing items, water bottles, etc.)
How to Apply
Our application process is online. Mailed or emailed applications will not be accepted.
A Letter of Interest (LOI) is the first step in our online application process. Once reviewed, applicants will be notified about submitting a full proposal. A full proposal must be submitted by the dates outlined below to be considered for funding.

Deadlines for Applying

First Quarter Meeting deadline is DECEMBER 10.

Second Quarter Meeting deadline is APRIL 10.
A full proposal must be submitted in the online system by these dates. If submitted after these dates, your proposal will not be considered for funding.
Once our funding level has been reached, the grant application process will close for that funding year.
